Our Baby Room at Happy Feet Larkhall offers a warm, caring and nurturing start for children aged 6 weeks to 2 years. Designed with comfort and security in mind, the space supports a gentle introduction to nursery life and is filled with opportunities for babies to explore, discover and grow through play.
We understand how important it is for parents and carers to feel confident leaving their child in someone else’s care. That’s why we’ve created a welcoming environment where babies are supported by experienced, attentive staff who build strong, trusting relationships with both children and families.
The Baby Room is calm and cosy, but also rich in sensory experiences. We believe play is central to early development, and our team provides a wide range of stimulating resources and open-ended play opportunities. Every day is filled with activities that respond to each child’s individual interests and developmental needs.
We work closely with families to ensure consistency and reassurance for every child, building strong partnerships that support emotional well-being and continuity of care. We know that a settled, confident baby is one who is ready to explore the world around them.
Using the ‘Together We Can and We Will’ planning approach, our team creates thoughtful learning experiences that encourage communication, curiosity and early social interaction. We nurture the development of important life skills like cooperation, turn-taking and building secure relationships—laying the foundations for happy, confident and independent learners.

Starting nursery is a big step, and at Happy Feet we aim to make the transition as smooth and reassuring as possible. Before your child’s first day, we’ll invite you in for a free settling-in session. This allows your child to get familiar with the environment while we begin building a trusting relationship with you both.
You’re welcome to stay during the session until you feel confident your child is happy and settled. We encourage open communication with your child’s Key Worker and nursery staff from day one. Regular parent evenings also offer the chance to discuss your child’s progress, development and next steps.
