Toddler Room at Happy Feet Nursery Carluke

Our Toddler Room at Happy Feet Carluke is a warm, cheerful and nurturing space created especially for children aged 2 to 3 years. It’s a place where growing independence, curiosity and early social skills are supported through play, discovery and gentle guidance.

The room is carefully set up to offer comfort, structure and freedom. With flexible layouts, sensory-rich materials and child-led areas, children are free to explore, investigate and express themselves in ways that feel natural to them. Every element is designed to encourage confidence, imagination and active engagement in learning.

We follow the ‘Together We Can and We Will’ planning approach, allowing our experienced team to create meaningful learning experiences tailored to each child’s needs and interests. Children are supported to make choices, build friendships and develop key skills through a balance of play, conversation and connection.

Positive relationships are central to everything we do. Our practitioners focus on nurturing trust, supporting communication and helping children learn how to share, take turns and work together. The environment is calm and consistent, helping toddlers feel safe and secure as they grow into confident individuals.

At this important stage in their development, children are developing rapidly — and we’re here to guide and encourage them every step of the way. Our aim is to provide a joyful and supportive space that lays strong foundations for the next stage of their early years journey.

Induction & Settling In

We know that starting Nursery can be a big step — for both children and parents. That’s why we offer a free settling-in session before your child officially joins us.

This visit allows you and your child to get to know the team, explore the room, and begin forming those all-important relationships in a calm and unhurried way.

We want you to feel confident and reassured when leaving your child in our care. You’re welcome to stay during the settling-in session until you’re comfortable that your child is happy and secure in their new surroundings.

Our team prioritises strong communication with parents. You’ll always have the opportunity to speak with your child’s Key Worker, ask questions, and receive updates on their progress and development. We also hold regular Parent Evenings to share milestones and celebrate achievements together.
